I prefer (non)-Linear storyline, Mission Based is why I didnt liked Final Fantasy VIII very much, missions doesnt make the game sound like a RPG much
EDIT: btw do you know how to make animated screenshots with CalcCapture because it might be cool to see the game in action

Dear Lord, you reply fast.
Well that exactly what I want to move towards with TSOD2:TN. The first tsod wouldn't make much sense if it wasn't linear.
I loved X2

wow, 300 hours, thats a lot, the largest amount of time I ever devoted in a RPG was 117 hour at Star Ocean II on the PSOne
In Illusiat 12 (an BASIC RPG I made 2.5 years ago) you can reach 99999 damage easily by attacking a monster with his elemental weakness.
the worst thing tho... is that monsters can ALSO do over 9999 HP damages

I know, and there aren't any good ASCII RPG's for the 68k calcs (if any).
I guess that's mostly because of the lack of text-wrapping on the homescreen, and the vaster array of graphscreen functions.
I am beginning to want an 83+SE more and more, just so that I can play Kevin's awesome RPG's

LOL
, I guess you would like it, the 83+s have a small screen, slower processor (z80), crappier LCD driver but even with that we have a big bunch of ASM RPGs and some cool BASIC ones

That's an incredibly good rpg story, frankly I'm tired of those rpgs that have storylines that basically rip off the Final Fantasy series. Originality is necessary for an rpg.

I have to agree with that (that post above was from dysfunction %)
) because its annoying to see all those RPGs with the same storyline, and I know I made a lot, especially the Illusiat series.
Another thing I would like to see in a calc RPG is actually a GOOD ending, not just "You finished the same, the planet is now in peace, thank u for playing" or that kind of stuff, I want to see images, continuing storyline or even surprises. However I kknow this is the hardest part of a calc RPG making because the ending is usually at that time you start running out of RAM, so you cannot do much but I'm sure in some case it would be possible.
