Considering that both Ultima V world maps are 64Kb a piece, I don't think it will fit on an 83+. :(sad.gif And let's not forget that there is another 64Kb worth of town maps and nearly 64Kb of dungeon and other miscellaneous maps. O_Oshocked2.gif Oh... and another 128Kb worth of strings and NPC talking scripts. :gah:fou.gif These are, of course, all uncompressed numbers. ;)wink.gif

However, as I have said before, I bet you we could squeeze Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar into the 83+. ;)wink.gif

I'm not sure about the Nintendo DS, but EA released an Ultima compilation for the PC a few years back.

Ultima Collection

This contains Ultima 0 (aka Alkabeth) up to Ultima VIII.

They should re-release the compilation for XP.

Ultima 0 through Ultima VI run on XP, but they need something called MoSlo to slow the PC down to the 7MHz range.

I have heard that alot a people have trouble running Ultima VII and VIII on XP because of the non-standard memory management that Origin was forced to use back in the early 90s.

Hmm, when I was hs junior I took advanced comp topics (really lame class... we spent most of the time playing starcraft on crappy ancient pcs) but one of the things we did was install windows 3.11 on some of the old crappy school PCs. 'Twas fun, we got cool ancient games to run like Aces over Europe, Tie Fighter, Whiplash/Fatal Racing, and other old awesome stuff.

Oh crap!

The current rumor is that the PSP version of Ultima VII is going to be a port of the SNES version. :vomit:vomit.gif

Nothing against the SNES, but the Nintendo port of the Ultima VII was not the best. <_<dry.gif

Ultima VII for the SNES is already designed for a game console. So, EA would not have to do much in terms of getting input from the user.

Ultima V for 68K is moving along... Full terrain tile interaction is almost complete. So, when you are walking through the forest or climbing a mountain, your will progress will be slowed down. When you walk through the swamp, players will be randomly poisoned. When you walk through lava or fires, the entire party is burned and will lose hit points.
