Major progress on the shoppe talk! B)cool.gif

I can now completely traverse the script, taking any path or jump it has to offer. Here is a sample:

Well... I was trying to keep the text input to a minimum. So, no one would get too tired of the key searching... then quickly forget about the game and put it down after a few hours.

Remember... this is all menu based and will require about 400 hours of your time.

Oh... btw... Your character is a tough guy! He is the Avatar that has returned to save Lord Brittish from the evil Shadowlords.

Ultima V update:

Today a major milestone has been accomplished -- shoppe talk is finally complete!  :thumb:thumb.gifB)cool.gif

Some more fun things about shoppe talk...

Don't try to cheat and buy something you cannot afford; you will be thrown out and get a response similar to this...

Here is another screeny:

Notice the empty port before the Avatar enters the towne of Minoc. He quickly walks to the local shipwright to purchase a frigate. After the successful purchase, notice the party gold drops from $2000 to $500.

The Avatar makes a second attempt to purchase a skiff. He has enough gold to do this, but due to the previous purchase, there is no room left at the dock. The Avatar is denied the purhcase.

The Avatar makes a final attempt to purchase another frigate. Knowing full well he does not have enough gold for the purchase, the shoppe owner thinks the Avatar is trying to cheat him. So, the owner throws him out with some choice words!

The Avatar leaves the towne of Minoc and boards his brand new frigate to sail into the sunset.

Note: Hmmm... what is that strange looking stone along the shoreline? Could that be a sealed entrance to a dungeon? How do you move that stone in order to get in? It is rumored that dungeons lead to a vast uncharted underworld.

Wow, pretty cool. It's still amazes me that you are able to port such a huge and complex game to a calculator. o.oblink.gif
