Ahh, I wondered why there weren't updates so often these days. I shall venture forth and risk the eyeball burnination of tifreakware forums!

Hmmm... Well, TI Freakware has been the home for Ultima V since the Omnimaga forums were deleted earlier this year. Please do not make me feel guilty about this.
When I have notable progress, I gladly post on both TIFW and Omni. I did not consider the number of tiles complete to be "big" news.
Since the issue has been brought up, I only have 32 tiles remaining out of 512. O_O

THE POST 11056958
i know but I was afraid you quitted posting completly :S
plus this happened 7 months ago i wonder why people still hold grudges about this. The way I feel it it's almost like it was all my fault if the forums was deleted, that everything that made me do it is my fault, that I'm the entire source of the problem. yes i pushed the button, but it seems people doesn't see further than that, back when I did that life was pretty hectic, there was fights in my family, lawsuits and all the rest, on top of that I felt sad for seeing three of my online friends down (the_unknown_one, kalan_vod and CDI/Zeromus), and i was very worried about them. On top of that at that time I was still part of the rest of the community, and everyone started whining about everything I do, like the previous april fools prank, so I left the community, on top of that there was those people harrasing others at cemetech, this made me very upset. This brang lot of tension in the IRC channel and the forums, and at one point people threatened to leave because of the drama, and I went over the edge and deleted the entire forums. Unfortunately you and some other people doesn't seems to care about that or see it at all, instead of trying to help me rebuild those people abandon me. I am sorry for that trouble this all caused, and I wish this didn't happened. You know what would be the best thing to happen in the world? A wayback machine! Because it seems that even if time flow, some people stay in the past, and doesn't move on from bad events. I'm not feeling very good atm, because I am very worried about some of my online friends, one of which may not be part of this world today, and I feel very bad for not having got the chance to help at the right time. This, combined with home stuff, combined with people not wanting to support me anymore, this is what will make me overeact again and prbly do worse than deleting a bunch of 0s and 1s, please be understanding. I have very big self-control problems, and i never got able to do anything about it. I was born like this, and the past years events irl made me even worse. I am sorry you still feel this way about me and Omnimaga.

THE POST 11059627
Kevin,
I am not holding a grudge against anyone. When Omnimaga was deleted 7 months ago, I lost of lot of posts concerning Ultima V. Yes, I was pretty upset, but I got over it. Omnimaga no longer existed -- it was gone. So, I started over at TI Freakware. A short time later, Omnimaga re-emerged. How was I to know that this would happen? Was I suppose to cut-n-run from TI Freakware now that Omnimaga returned? I would definitely say no! TI Freakware is the official home of Ultima V now. You are going to have to accept that. Please don't make me feel guilty about moving to TI Freakware.
I'm truly sorry about your life circumstances. I have gone through similar life circumstances as you know. I can only hope and pray that things get better for you. Please understand that I have forgiven you. I do not hold a grudge against you. I hope and pray you feel the same way about me.
Your friend,
David Randall

Dude, seriously xlibman. I wish you would stop thinking about everything in the bad way and like everyone is against you.
'Cause it's totally not the case-- the exact opposite in fact. Just be happy and stuff.
Back on topic - that's a lot of tiles!! o.o
These are all 11*11 4 level greyscale right? That's gotta be one heck of a big resource pack there.

I know but its just hard to deal with this
i understand your decision ranman, i was just pointing out this and i was worried that you would never come back again
Btw since the old forums were back up a few months ago this means the projects topics are still avaliable as well, including the 402 posts of the Ultima Main thread. I just didn't got around re-linking to the old topics in each project sub forums due to lack of time and motivation. It's a big mess, though

And it has taken a substantial amount of time to shrink and redraw them by hand. I have tried many image manipulation tools; their shrinking algorithms end up blurry. And, when you are talking about 11x11 pixel tiles, any blurriness is unacceptable.
The tiles alone require approximately 23Kb. I do not compress the tiles, they simply reside in Flash memory... ready to be used at a moments notice.
