Ultima V: Music

Do we have any musically talented people at Omnimaga?
I am seeking help in converting the original Ultima V music files from MIDI to Polysound files. 15 total songs need to be converted and tested on a real TI-89, TI-92+, or V200. This will bring the full Ultima experience to our wonderful calcs. %)
Any takers?
You will, of course, get your name included within the credits of the completed game.

All of the MIDI song files are available on a single website --
http://www.surfing.net/ultima/bard/ultima5.html
. I believe their are 4 complete sets of all music files -- each set is a little different. However, only one full set is on Mysterious Sosaria. If someone accepts this job, I would want him/her to pick the version of the song that translates best for use with Polysound. There are 15 total songs.
I have not been able to find any of the sounds.

I have tried to use PolySnd only once and figured out in only compiles when you're making a Kernel program. Did you get a way to work around this? If yes, I could do this job for you (only on an emulator, since I don't own 2.5mm Headphones).
Additionally, the sound from a calculator is everything other than loud, so if you just plug in your headphones you won't hear much
// Edit: Oh, I've just downloaded v2.0 of PolySnd and it works in nostub (I had a much older version on my HD... *goes converting*

You need very low resistance headphones to get a good sound.
Thanks, Saubue... I will send you some stuff that I have already tried. The main thing is Polysound is not very good with more than 2 channels. Most of the MIDIs are 5+ channels. So, I tried removing all but the lead parts prior to converting to Polysound.
I can't chat too much right now... I have got to go. I'll get in touch.
Thanks again! :woot:

... I forgot to say that Polysound does not work with VTI. I'm not sure about TiEmu.

Yes, I noticed that too when I wanted to play the Ultima Theme...
TiEmu has no sound option; I think I'going to buy a 2.5mm<->3.5mm [I don't know the English word, but I guess you know what I mean] tomorrow.

Saubue is making some good headway into the Ultima V music soundtrack. :woot:
He has already provided a working demo.
Now we need to find some good "simple" sound effects for a clock, a waterfall, casting spells, and weapon attacks. Any takers? :
:
There are 15 different songs in Ultima V and they all help to set the mood of the game. There are triumphant songs, creepy songs, happy songs, and sad songs. Each song will be strategically placed for the best experience. Think of it like a movie... when you enter a gloomy dungeon... you will here the creepy songs.
