Hi everyone,

I'm very new to programming on calculators and transferring programs and such.  I've recently downloaded xLIB xLIB Revolution for my TI 83+, and have been able to transfer all of the files except for the most important one, xLIB.8xk.  For one reason or another, my computer seems to perform an illegal operation every time I attempt to transfer that file, and that file only.

I would appreciate any help with this problem I can get.

Thanks,
Greg0rz

hi and welcome here. What kind of cable do you use with your calc? Silver or black? because I heard there was problems with the new silverlink cable and TI-Connect for sending apps, but unfortunately I still have the old black cable so I can't help much :(sad.gif . What calculator OS do you have? Check 2nd + MEM and select "About" to see the version. If you have anything else than 1.18 and 1.14 I would suggest an upgrade to the newest version. http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_os_83plus.html

Anyone here had problems sending some apps to their calcs because I remember some ppl had problems sending xLIB?

I remember having trouble sending the newest version to my 83+ as well. I believe that i just re-downloaded it and tried again and it worked.

Did you tried the version at ticalc.org or the version at Omnimaga? Because if you got it from a game at Omnimaga like metroid it must be the version that had some bugs in it and had problems with file sending

otherwise I think I'll point tr1p1ea in this topic if I see him on IRC tomorrow :Ptongue.gif (as he's the author of xLIB)

Hmm... problems transferring xLIB aye. Sounds like ti-connect is being silly again. Perhaps you could try an older version of ti-connect, or even switch to something like TiLP?

You wouldnt happen to be using a MAC would you?

Make sure you use TI connect 1.6, i think 1.5 has issues with apps, and having OS 1.18 always help

 I got that sometimes, too...

Sometimes they get so big that if I hit the Y=-button, my calc crashes! O_O (RAM clear)
