Applications Comands
« on: June 03, 2014, 10:52:43 am »
Hi there, I was wondering if there is any way to open and do stuff in a new page of a document by executing a program form a library.

e.g: Let's say i'm in the calculator application, i execute this program from a library and it automaticaly opens a graphics application and plots some functions there.

btw, I use a TI-nspire CX CAS

It may sound weird but:

and
'The teapot does not cool down long.'
means the same.

Welcome to the forums Menes. I'm pretty sure it is not possible to open another page in a document using a command in nspire basic. The closest you can get to this is using a split page and changing the f(x) vars. Hope that answers your question a bit!
I'm not a nerd but I pretend:

You can access vars from other documents in Nspire BASIC, but I don't think you can change anything UI-related like what file is open directly. You can alter variables that are graphed, for example, and they will update if you look at the graph screen, but you can't tell the calc to go to said graph screen with a function.

If you have a split view where you can see both the graph and the input, and you update a list that is being graphed, then that list will update without any further input, but the calculator portion will still be visible. I know it's not exactly what you had in mind, but at least you don't have to manually switch between views.
