yeah you are entitled to your opinion. However not much author cares about that otherwise I would get emails requesting their RPGs removed from my archives and tifreak8x would get some too. We are trying to help the author to make his files more popular. Sure they doesnt have any download stats (in the case of Omnimaga) but at least people wont have top search through 5000 crappy BASIC games to find 3 or 4 good RPGs. Also here there isnt any trolls and troublemakers, like at ticalc.org (once I was thinking about asking Jman on #tcpa to remove all my files from ticalc.org archives and put them on Ti freakware and calchaven instead because here ppl are more respectful) Since doing that is quite common I think the only thing to do is to remove the file when the author ask you do do so. Well thats my point of view and you are entitled to your own but me and other ppl too CAN are entitled to their own point of view.
Also I think its better to have files on other websites as well, providing they are regulary updated (otherwise you put a link to the original file location or a warning saying it might not be the last version). About omnimaga my first plan was to link every files on the website to ticalc.org, but then ticalc.org disabled remote linking so I couldnt and who knows, if there is a huge hurricane or earthquake or anything where the ticalc.org server is located, this would lead to the deletion of all files not only on ticalc.org, but on every website which link to ticvalc.org archives as well! Plus in my case there is the fact that 15% of the files on Omnimaga arent even in ticalc.org archives. There is another 15% which I thought they werent in ticalc.org archives and it took me several years to find them. An example I can show is Pok

Hey hart,
The tutorial will only be there for a little while, as I am now takin the time to learn 68k BASIC, and once that is complete, I will leave a link to the file on ticalc, but post my own tutorial in its place. Plus it seems that I might have another person willing to write 68k basic tutorials, so it might come off of there even faster.
It is just that according to my stats, people are lookin for 89 tutorials, and for the time being, I am giving them what they want, in an easy to read/get fashion.
And please, take a look at the tutorials, compare to the original (especially section 9). I made it easier to read the information, adding tables to help organize alot of that information.
If anyone else complains about their stuf being on my site, I will have no problem removing such content from my site. As I said on Cemetech, I try to get author permission, and if the email is no longer any good, then it is my belief that they do not care. If it is a good game, it should be posted with the rest of the good games, not left to be buried within the wastes of ticalc.org archives. (especially basic)
And you are entitled to your opinion, I won't take that away from anyone.
I agree that the Basic Elite is basically dead, but I want to try to bring it back...

If your purpose is promoting the higher-quality programs to make them easier to find and get, that is fine. Let's just agree that everybody has their own opinion, and we should all respect them.
I completely agree with what you are saying about the current ticalc.org archives and the messageboards. That is why I don't participate in any of the news posts, and why I frequent the smaller TI sites. Ticalc.org is still the premiere TI site, nonetheless, and that is why I like to keep my files there.

Anyway TI freakware is doing a good job on his website and ranting about the fact he put the tutorial on his website without author permission isnt going to help much or even change anything. He even threatened to shut down his site and leave once because of that and since your rant I dont go to cemetech much anymore and am thinking about blacklisting it like MaxCoderz and Calcgames. You can suggest to link to ticalc.org, ask author permission first before including a file on his website but if the webmaster doesnt want to do that let him do what he want instead of trolling and turning things into a flamewar and if he gets in trouble its his problem (unless he uploads one of your files)
I agree that TI-Freak8x is doing a good job on his website. He updates it frequently, he has a good forum, and he has some pretty good (growing) tutorials. And, TI-Freak8x has every right to post whatever he wants on his site, including the Grant Elliott tutorial.
I regret that the tutorial posting incident on Cemetech turned into such a huge problem. I wouldn't go so far as calling it trolling and "turning things into a flamewar", though. My intention wasn't getting people people riled up. I posted my opinion and I expected that to be the end of it. I didn't think it would turn into anything. I certainly didn't think I would get the reaction that I got. Still, I'm sorrry if I put anybody off or caused people to stop going to Cemetech.

He hasn't really been going due to the fact that things rarely stay on topic.
And as to me, I was just mad, and everyone does stupid stuff/ says dumb things. I was depressed, but I got out of it.
I also don't think you should leave Cemetech, I am sure there are other ways you can help out...
And also, thanks for the compliments guys. I hope that sometime soon, I will have a site as active as Cemetech and Omnimaga. The forums are barely growing...

the Omnimaga forums are stagnating a bit atm as well, altough there is always a few activity going on. You should go at EPS, I think its the end here: first of all MLC discussion is moving to Casiocalc.org and the only active TI members (visits once per day at least and post at least once per week) are burntfuse and me. I might post about DDR here as well (once the first version is out) to at least keep some activity and I think Dys should post aura progress more as well (if its not dead) or EPS might close
The thing is that I hope he will not flame DDR/dance music like he did on AIM because thats why I didnt posted DDR progress on EPS yet

Well, that really is sad...
And at least you have several members that come by everyday. I think I only have 4 regular members to my site, you included...
