A guide

I found this on the TI site and was interested in the fact someone could actually make an emulator for a calculator
The only problem is I have no clue what the hell to do
A Guide (Comprehensive please
) would be GREATLY appreciated.
I'm asking this because the readme doesn't seem to help much since it really doesn't include much detail on what to do.
Theres a few things I'd like to ask if someone actually makes one
File types (I find .gb but no .rom)
How to get a game up and running
How to prevent system crashes (If possible
)
And what the hell is Wabbitsign
Other information would be greatly appreciated for those who don't exactly know all the works of programming (Like me xD)
Thanks!

Yes I read that the calculator crashes if its made 2 years ago to now and I was hoping that the bug was resolved...
Even then, A guide for the rest of us with older calculators would be very helpful indeed

Hello, and welcome to Omnimaga.
There is a list of compatible TI devices
here
. You can find the revision letter on the back of your calculator, it is the very last thing on your serial #(or whatever that is called
).
The .gb file is a GameBoy rom file, so that is what you are looking for.
To get it running, just drag the compiled app to your favorite TI linking software and transfer it, it will be in the form of a application and all you have to do is run it.
Currently there is no way to prevent crashes on newer calcs, for the reason that they are incompatible for one reason or the other(calc84 is currently working to find the cause and hopefully create a solution)
And finally, wabbitsign is a utility used to sign applications for the calculator, signing applications is needed for them to run properly(the newest version can be found
here
).
I hope this information was helpful, and if there is anything more you need, please post and I, or another member, will be glad to help you

Aww hell... No wonder why it doesn't work.. Its an M
Anyways.. If, Hypothetically, I had a working calculator what do I do with wabbitsign? Since all I got was a description. If you don't want to type just add a link if there is one
Oh yeah and WabbitEMU asks for .rom and .sav instead of .gb
Whats the dealio on that?

WabbitEmu is a TI-8x emulator. You'll need a TI-84+/SE ROM image in order to use it.

Sorry, we can't distribute roms.
Do you have the latest version of TI-Boy (Alpha 0.0.3)?

What do you mean you can't get wabbitemu to get working? Do you have your calculator's rom image?
You need that in order to run the wabbitemu. And I never fully understood what the wabbitsign does, so yeah...
