Help please (I'm a complete noob at TI Nspire CX)
« on: May 17, 2014, 11:53:31 pm »
I have a TI Nspire CX with hardware revision G. I recently updated to 3.6 and now it won't let me downgrade to 3.1. I want to run CAS on my CX but from what I'm seeing on here, nLaunch is only compatible with 3.1. Can someone please help me? I have exams coming up next week and I need CAS ASAP. Thanks in advance.

You aren't trying to bring a cas calc to a test where it's banned are you ?

I can use a CAS on the exam I'm about to take. Just don't want to spend another $130 on a calculator that is nearly identical.

I hope you're not lying. Here you go : https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=14102&lang=en
You can't Nlaunch a CAS 3.6 OS on a non CAS calculator but for 3.1 you can.

Keep in mind this is for downgrading only. Once you are done, set up Nlaunchy + dual boot like so : http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=13213&lang=en
And install Ndless 3.6 (compatible with both 3.1 and 3.6) without doing step 5 (just reset) : http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=14087&lang=en

Also, can a mod please change the topic title ?

Ok. So I have all of this installed, how do I run the CAS operating system?

Edit: Nevermind. I figured it out. Thanks.
