CAS on Touchpad Inspire 3.6
« on: February 10, 2014, 05:33:11 pm »
Hi all,

I just purchased a touchpad TI Nspire off of ebay, and I'm loving it so far. I noticed some posts on how to get the CAS version of the Operating system onto the Non-CAS calculators, but it looks like all of them are for either CX models or for OS earlier than 3.6.

Is there a way to install the CAS version and dual-boot (even if it's not 3.6) on the non-CAS Nspire? The calculator came with 3.6 on it already, but I'm fine with downgrading if I have to.

Thanks,
Mason

No, there isn't, until the nLaunchy developers find a new exploit in the new Boot2. This assumes you are running boot2 3.2.4. Go to Settings->Status->About to check.

Hi, did the nLaunchy developers have any progress? I have an updated Ti-Nspire with touchpad but I wouldn't mind downgrading if necessary.
Thank you!

I think there's just been a general lack of interest by those capable of solving this.

nLaunchy is based on nLaunch - so when the nLaunch's dev(s) show up at some point (we don't know them, so no idea when), there may be hope.
No update for now.

No idea what you guys are talking about. I am dual-booting normal CX OS 3.6 and CAS os 3.1 just fine, no downgrading required.
Also this post is ancient...why is it on the front page?
