I've been nurturing this idea for a while but is it possible to load a file.8xp.tns file onto the nSpire, then have a program run that will have it load to the 84 emu? As long as the physical memory where the info is stored isn't in the keypad itself then it shouldn't be a problem. (Unless you were to switch the keypads while the program is running). I don't have a graph-link and I can't get a hold of one anywhere (unless I borrow one from my teacher which is a pain to say the least) so this would make loading programs to my 84 emu much easier.

I think this is theoretically possible, by modifying /ti84/84ram.bin or whatever it's stored in. But can't you just use the same USB cable you use to send .tns documents, to send directly to the 84+ emulator?

Get TiLP and use a standard USB cable to send to the emulator.

Apparently not with TI-Connect. :(

I'll try this out. I never really got TiLP working before but I'll try it again.

The USB cable works with TI connect, I've tried it. However, the earlier oses will not work, you have tu use at least 1.4

It's not working for me either. How do you get it to work?
-
Are you trying TilP, TI-connect, or TI PC Link software? they are all different.
That said, I would still love a way to transfer stuff to and from the 84+ bin, for backups and such.

I have a ti-nspire with a touchpad and a 84+ keypad and use a regular USB cable for *both* keypads and using TI-Connect works perfectly
It works, I'm sure of it.

Ti-connect works for nspire? didn't know that, but I know nspire PC link software (currnt v1.4) doesn't work for 84+
Touchpad is irrelevant, but OS 2.0 is, its 84+ mode's link is more stable.

Does the emulated 84 have the extra RAM pages? If so, there's usb8x/msd8x. No tilp/ti-connect needed (except for >1-page apps)

TI-Connect can not detect my Nspire touchpad 2.0. I had the touchpad in. I will now try it with my 84+SE keypad in.
Are there any special settings I should run TI-Connect with?
EDIT: My compuer recognized it and installed a driver. Will run TI-Connect in one sec
EDIT2: I have searched 3 times with TI-DeviceExplorer and have not found it. How do I find it?
EDIT3: I just subitted this to TI-CARES about the problem(I will probably soon be on their blacklist) I have been trying to download software to the 84+ Silver Edition emulator in my TI-Nspire. Whenever I try to link up with it with the keypad in none of the software you provide has managed to find it. I have tried the TI-Nspire Student Software, The TI-Nspire Linking Software, and TI-Connect. None of these has been able to connect with the calculator when it has the 84+ keypad in. I have used the latest version of all of these software. Please help. I would very much like to be able to load programs and apps to my calculator to use.
