Legimet you are sooooooooooooo awesome dude I got it! Thanks so much. However one crucial thing I changed. You have to delete your samples i actually did this yesterday but couldn't get it to work when I did what I did yesterday and delete samples it worked. One crucial advice is delete samples. Thank you so much everyone else too for helping me you guys are so awesome :)

I'm not sure you have to delete the samples, but I never tried it without deleting them.
Anyway, good thing you got it working. :)

You might want to install Ndless, which allows you to run many programs and games. To do this:

1. Go to the Ndless download page, and download the file with the highest number following the r, currently ndless-v3.1-beta-r882.zip and unzip it.
2. Create a folder inside My Documents (on your calc) called ndless .
3. Go to the calcbin directory on your computer, and send 2 files, ndless_resources.tns and ndless.cfg.tns to the ndless folder on your calc.
4. Press the reset button on the back of your calculator.

Don't update it. You could do it by making a new phoenix.tns, but the latest OS versions lock down your calc and make it impossible to install Ndless.
The calcbin is inside the zip file. You only need to send ndless_resources.tns and ndless.cfg.tns to the ndless folder, then press the reset button.
Here's a picture of what your ndless folder (on calc) should look like:

Ndless lets you run native programs, largely extending the functionality of the calculator.
You can find stuff about Ndless development on this site, and there's a good archive of programs here.

You can send a program like gbc4nspire and try if it works. That'll also give you the status of awesome since you can play Gameboy games on your nspire. (you need a ROM of the games you want to play though)

Anyone know what the problem is.  Recently I have been getting charging problems in my nspire cx running the case cx.  My charging problem is that I plug the charger in and it has that charging sign on the battery and when I leave it overnight to charge the charging sign is still there and didn't charge at all.  I tried changing cords with my friend who has the cx but still same problem... Is there a fix? I have also tried hitting that reset button on the back but no dice....

This isn't related to nlaunch nor ndless and happends also on "vanila" nspires.
Indeed it seems the OS can't handle the charge of "used" batteries and have a  hard time to reset the battery indicator.
A quick fix is to charge from the diagnostic menu in the battery test section, and unplug/replug de USB cable from there.

I see.  Could you provide me detailed instructions on how to get to the diagnostic menu in the battery test section?

  • Hold the reset button
  • Hold ESC MENU [-] ( not the (-) )
  • Manual test
  • Battery test
  • Battery Pack Charging
  • Unplug USB cable if not already done
  • plug the USB cable
  • find a 3h movie and watch it
  • completed charging
  • Reset

Use Ctrl+multiply and Ctrl+divide (those move up and down, I forget in which order).
