No body has started a snes emulator, but there was discussion about it. If you are a programer then you could attempt to make it.

Based on processing power alone, the SNES clocks in at 3.58 MHz, and the GBA at 16.78 MHz. The total amount of RAM for the GBA is 386 kB, while the total amount of RAM for the SNES is 256 kB. Because the GBA can be emulated on the nspire, a good rule of thumb is that the SNES can be emulated as well. ;)

Of course, you could always just run a homebrew SNES emulator on the GBA emulator :P

Just one thing to keep in mind, though, is that several SNES cartridges includes extra chips to emulate. I believe that Star Fox/Starwing, for example, is an extra 20-30 MHz to emulate, and there are games like Star Ocean which uses texture decompression or something like that. Basically, while a SNES is very possible on the Nspire, certain games might not necessarily run at full speed if the requirements for those specific games (mostly Super FX games though) is on-par with the GBA.

Bit of a necro, but I've decided to start a SNES emulator for Nspire. I'm reading technical documentation right now...
"Eris" (Ndless 3.1)
"Keto" (Ndless 3.1)
"Luna" (AMS 3.10, HW4)
"Aurora" (2.55MP)

That would be cool. Good luck, though, because I bet it's one heck of a challenge. >.<
