PTTKillerSE v1 — Press-to-Test Killer, Stealth Edition
« on: June 07, 2012, 03:07:39 pm »
After compu shared his exploit on how to access documents in Press-to-Test mode (only possible thanks to TI's competence), I decided to write a ripoff of his tool (which you can access here). At this stage it pretty much does the same thing as his program except with a few minor changes, so all credit goes to him. I will however update this for your enjoyment and comfort.

PTTKillerSE's features:
  • Will never display anything on the screen
  • Will get you caught by a teacher watching over your shoulder. You will consequently get kicked out of school and you'll end up on the streets as a miserable hobo. Don't cheat, kids

Instructions:
1. Install Ndless 3.1
2. Copy PTTKillerSE.tns to ndless/startup
3. Put all of the documents you want in Press-to-Test mode in the MyLib folder

Once in Press-to-Test mode, all of your documents will be in the Press-to-Test folder.

Happy cheating!

You're welcome. Added a little video to demonstrate the tool.

Well that would be cool, but linking it to Wolfram|Alpha's API would be even cooler. What about it ?
here's the page : http://products.wolframalpha.com/api/

The Steps display for calculus things are really good for students, especially for cheaters during tests

@jimbauwens, @adriweb: Did you guys get a calculator shoved up your asses? Are those comments part of some great big plan to derail my thread? Loosen up your panties kids, behaving like angsty 15-year-old teenagers won't solve anything. If you do not agree with something it is fully your right, but as respectable members of a community (whether it be humanity or the TI-Nspire community) you should at least show the slightest amount of decency towards others.

It is not like you where showing respect to us.

In the other thread we tried to explain our self, yet:

And other things pointing that we where ridiculous. I stayed calm in that thread, but I see this thread almost as a direct attack against me.

hoffa, flaming, intolerance, and provocative comments are not tolerated. as it stands, i will be bringing up your last few posts with the others, and anything else of this nature will result in an insta-ban.

as for academic dishonesty, omnimaga does not condone it in any way, and i will be bringing this matter up as well.

in the meantime, please try to be mature from this point forwards. thank you =)

Intentionally and maliciously wanting to derail a thread is one thing, arguing is another. I fully understand that you may not like the way I express myself sometimes (as it tends to be rather direct, image-fueled and cynical), but as far as I know I have not disrespected anyone, or at least not intentionally. Please do point out where I have been disrespectful, and you will get my genuine pardons. But if it's the language that causes issues, all I can suggest you is to develop a thicker skin, and learn to deal with sarcasm.

@Hoffa :
You know I respect what you do and I'm extremely glad you made stuff like nSDL, because that's the kind of programs that's useful, at least that's what I think.

We were just messing a bit on this topic because I think these kind of internal wars about PTT etc. shouldn't even happen. It's ridiculous to fight about these 'issues' and this is how we showed it. Accept my apologies for this n00bish behavior but I couldn't resist. Talking about "cheating" etc. like the way you did just made me laugh a bit ("miserable hobo" part) at least that's a good part in these topics.
(Also, you're speaking about decency etc. but you've been swearing...).

Anyway, enough on these fighting topics, it's ridiculous.

I've expressed my opinion about such PTTKillers tools only once today, and I didn't intend to argue. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but this is not the point here.

Hoffa, I have nothing against you, but your post in the previous thread was allready border-line:
http://ourl.ca/16356/305301

And the last one above is totally unacceptable on Omnimaga:
http://ourl.ca/16362/305390

It's insulting and you're showing absolutely no respect towards people who don't share your ideas.
You're behaving exactly like the angsty 15-year-old teenagers you describe and maybe even worse...

I've reported your post to moderators, and hope that you'll grow up and learn to accept and respect people who don't agree with you in the future.

Sincerely.

Alright let's settle this once and for all.

In the other thread we tried to explain our self, yet:
Quote from: Hoffa

That is a language-related issue, and I agree that using the word "dick" might be a bit harsh, but it does not alter the substance of my post, which was mostly targeted at Haleya who said comp was disrespectful towards all of the coders, that he destroyed all hope and whatnot. I just now reread the thread, and I have to admit the language was inappropriate; I apologize for that.

We were just messing a bit on this topic because I think these kind of internal wars about PTT etc. shouldn't even happen. It's ridiculous to fight about these 'issues' and this is how we showed it. Accept my apologies for this n00bish behavior but I couldn't resist. (Also, you're speaking about decency etc. but you've been swearing...).
I understand fully. As far as the swearing is concerned, that's just the way I express myself, and it does not directly imply disrespect.

I've expressed my opinion about such PTTKillers tools only once today, and I didn't intend to argue. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but this is not the point here.

For my defense, I'd say I was merely giving back what I got with that comment. I could see the genuine maliciousness in that little act (which is not often the case for me). I rarely am angry at anyone, it's just the way I dip my sentences in swear words and metaphors that makes it look like I'm an intolerant prick. Without exaggerating, I'm probably one of the most tolerant people around, but I won't go into that.

This should not happen in the future, but just so that you know, I rarely am as furious as I might seem. I'm the very calm type of guy really (but with opinions, and respectful towards those of others), but as mentioned numerous times, the way I express myself might be deceiving of my true nature or of my intentions.

Anyway I do not have the time nor do I wish to spend the whole day arguing here; I give my sincere apologies for whoever who felt attacked, insulted, or disrespected in any way.

I hope this'll settle the matter and that we can peacefully coexist--although with different opinions--in the future.

Okay, I'll try to harden my skin a bit then :P
Anyway, thank you for being this calm now.

Also, I'm sorry for going of track and acting ridiculous, but somehow I could not resist. Anyway you will not see posts like that of me anymore.

It's alright, I guess I got what I deserved. I'll tone down my language and improve my behavior next time. :)
