What about a nspire forge?

Would some people being interested by a domain where you can register an nspire related project?
I could offer that:
http://nspforge.unsads.com/
[edit: just waiting DNS propagation]
The only non negotiable conditions are:
respecting all required laws. This is obvious.
make your releases available free of charge.
serious projects only ("hai I want to make a nspire dreamcast emulator where do I download ndless and what is ARM lol?" -> KTHXBYE)
Any other is negotiable. The code does not have to be open source.
Projects would be manually approved for the moment, until I can automate the creation process.
I can provide
- trac -> follow issues, bugs, etc
- svn -> record backup and control your source code
- daily backup to a ftp space
If someone helps me, git is also possible.
I can also import existing svn repositories and discuss any requirement I did not talk about in this post.
What do you think of this? Useful? already done by individual project owners? What more could make that thing interesting?

sounds useful, I'd probably use it if I started working on an nspire project.

This looks great, I can imagine a TI-83+ Series one, since there are more projects for this one

Well, that could be interesting but I wonder how much time I will need to admin all of this if the number of projects grow too fast. My vision was a human-sized thing, not a sourceforge-bis.

So, the URL is just a name, doesn't actually go anywhere, right? The link doesn't work, so I kind of figured that was the case.

We're just waiting for DNS propagation, sorry
[edit: and a corrected DNS entry #sick# ]
however the name tells everything. The page just mentions a contact address:
[email protected]
. This one is functional.

This might be useful to me. Currently, I have my makefiles set to back up my source code files to "My Dropbox" at each build.

That would be nice. It would make some project stuff easier to manage, while the discussion could occur fine on forums.

Hello
That's great.
Is the URL alive for you all now?

Yep, it seems to work. There's not a lot of stuff on the web page, though.

I'm not sourceforge and I'm my own admin staff. I'm providing trac+svn for coders, and technical support. not a fancy blog & like on facebook & twitter & al.
sure, without any project, the page is quite empty at the moment. When the time comes, you'll get trac environments.

Well, now I have to set up an ARM compiler on my computer, so I can actually start making stuff.
I wish nCubate had a Linux version.....

to all: if you're lacking ideas, yaronet suggested a ti89 emulator would be nice
edit: Ooops didn't know the topic and the work lost by calc84maniac.
Changed nspforge conditions:
-removed the opensource requirement
-clarified that I can host secret projects without advertising them on the site.

I hope he resumes work on it. Else, maybe that could be a project idea for someone else?
Anyway, hopefully this helps a lot.
