If you have an 84, you could try msd8x/usb8x.
But you'd have to get it on the calc in the first place...and it needs the extra RAM pages

Well if his USB port is busted, then he cannot use it anymore. It's over. However he could get a silverlink cable from Ebay or somewhere else. Good thing the 84+ got two ports.
Btw progress sounds really awesome! I really wish you could post screenshots
. If your code isn't too large, any chance you could maybe also copy the progress over SourceCoder on Cemetech or Merthsoft IDE? Do it gradually so you don't have ridiculous amounts of code to copy by hand later.

This sounds really cool. I wish you luck on the connectivity issues and on the programming. Can't wait to see some screenshots

I'll try to put the code up later, then you guys can compile it. Though, yesterday, I was able to get a group file through the USB. This may be the only way I can transfer files. If so, expect pyyrix to come out later tonight in grouped form
EDIT: my dad wrote a flight simulator for some z80 based thing, so I'm gonna start on another project while I wait for him to get time to show me some stuff.

Ah good to hear, I hope things work out well for that. Also it's cool to hear that your dad also write programs for devices and computer too

He was a basic programmer for a while (yes BASIC was really big in the 80's on like a million different computers apparently) but eventually got into z80 programming. and I was able to boot his simulator (compiled) for the first time this afternoon, and he actually made his quasi 3d real good.

Lol I could mock it up, there's no way I can possibly connect that weird computer thing to my comp (btw the name is faded but it looks simular to a TI-99)
will post mockup in ~5 mins

here is a really bad and quick mockup. this is missing the switches and stuff in the cockpit, and the detail is far off. But you can get the point this way.

You think we could have those colours on Prizm?

of course, they're only like 6 or 7 bit colors, the casio prizm supports 16 bit
you would just have to make a tool to write 6 bit color images in 16 bit format without getting weird color issues

Interesting stuff. I wonder if he would let you port some of his programs to z80 calcs eventually...
