I heard that Axe is not compatible with the CSE. If that's the case, then this project is ax'd (no pun intended).

No, don't cancel this! Ask someone with knowledge of z80 to help you on a CSE version! Just please...
Did you know that "Ammonia Gas" rearranged is "As Omnimaga"?

Maybe you could do the remake in Axe for monochrome calcs? Since I have the CSE, I have no way to make or test this. I'll try working on using as many features as possible in the original version.

Wait, you don't have a monochrome calc ? How did you pull off the monochrome version then ? O.O

I had other people test it (JWins. CVSoft and princetonlion [for the gif]), and I just had the dimensions of the screen on memory.

Excepting Full, there's nothing Axe provides that doesn't work on 83+s.
Even with Full, the program would still run fine on the 83+. It would just run over twice slower.

Anyway I hope that isn't cancelled or anything, as it would be nice to see an Axe remake. If the Axe remake comes to fruition, will it feature the full game including map exploration or will it just be a battle arena like when Persona 4 was ported from the PS2/Vita to the PS3?

Also the CSE version could simply use xLIBC, although that can be a bit confusing to use.

I'm not really in charge of this anymore, JWins is if he chooses so (so it's not cancelled). I don't see why it won't include map exploration, since I don't see why JWins (if he chooses to run the development) would throw out the existing map exploration code.

Well, actually, I would be CREATING the code. But it shouldn't be too hard. :)

I'll try to make it as much like the original as possible, to start it out.

Ah ok I was wondering, since Axe is sometimes seen as much harder than BASIC by certain people, so they might be tempted to remove features in their games or as some people would say, "take the lazy route" :P. Kinda like what Atlus did with Persona 4 PS3. :P

Thanks! Feel free to add or take away anything, just make sure you let me know :)
I would really appreciate it if you at least added the features in the OP, and if you want I can lock this and you can make your own topic.

Sounds nice to me. :)

I'm going to study the game, inside and out. And this time, I'll focus first on the levels, not the text stuff. That's what derailed my 83+ only remake. x.x

So would 123outerme's original ideas be used? Or will they be modified?

Hopefully it stays true to the original. We'll see.

As long as the idea's the same :P

I'll try to download and (attempt to) optimize the original. Don't know too much axe anyways, unless you want sound (which, I at least know the syntax :P)

Out of curiosity, is this project dead?
