A nice looking graphical RPG for the TI-83+. Look very promising

Currently, I am working on a Hex sprite interpreter in BASIC, to try to speed up map loading time. I would use asm, but I want as much of this in BASIC as humanly possible.

It might be. I am unsure how fast the hex interpreter will be. I will have 2 versions, one on my 83+SE, one on the 84+ and run them both at the same time and see which loads faster, since they supposedly run the same speed processor...
My goal is to cut at least 1/2 the map loading time.
Theoretically, it should, but we shall just have to see. (And if it works, I guess I will have to release it to the public, won't I? lol)

TI-City is soooo blasted close, I am ironing out problems with the equipment screen now. Then to add the simple battle stuff and it will be ready. The aodr demo should follow a few weeks after that. Then the RPG starter kit will be updated with 2 possible battle systems... (Maybe a topic for that??)

Ok, (but wait, it IS a utility to help create RPG games...
) Anyways, the battle systems will be like this:
one will be all text, for those that want the easy way out.
The other will use the 8x16 screen, have random objects like trees and stuff, and to be able to hurt the opponent with magic, your character has to be a certain distance to the other. the sword will only work if you are next to the other, and their maybe an option for Bow/arrow support.
But back to AODR, the last thing that I got implemented was the health bar on the main walking engine, which works perfectly.

No, it won't be like TI-City, it will just be a general text based engine. But the other one...
I might make a game with it, once I finish ALL of my projects, I have 5 projects right now that need attention, plus 2 or 3 more that I already have in mind...

Well, 3 are very near completed. That would be my Star Trek game (You should check it out, even though it isn't rpg) and the rpg starter kit. The third just needs items and magic implemented into its battle system (FFME).
TI-City and AODR are my 2 projects that are way back there...
The above pic is of an Age of Empires game that I would like to make, that pic is the title screen...

that title screen is pretty neat. I tried FFME but it was so freakin hard (I never got to win any battles, even against the weakest enemies in the game)

Bad News: My 84+, which had all the updated info for my game, decided to have a RAM Reset. What does this mean for you? I have decided to completely restart this project from scratch. I will probably use some of the original code, but that is highly unlikely. But one thing this will allow me to do; this will allow me to better integrate my hex sprite creator into the game, without havin to figure out what needs to be taken out, what needs to be added, etc. I hope to have progress on this soon, with some screenies.
I also plan on getting a different title up, unless you guys like the original one. They can be viewed on
http://tifreakware.calcgames.org/ainfo/6.htm
Everytime the title loads, the enemy displayed is different. Just let me know what you think I should do.
