Hi and welcome here
I saw your game updated on ticalc.org and checked it (altough I havent tried it yet), then kalan posted about it here. That was kinda confusing at first because you had a different nickname on the old MC forums but I still remember posting in your topic on MC forums back then, as Kevin. You prbly remember me, altough its have been a long while, I was still making the Reign of Legends game back then
. I just have a different nicknames now. I am still Kevin on MC forums tho because I left 6 months ago due to stuff that happened here. I also quitted calc programming in december, last RPG I made was Reuben Quest: The lost mirror with Omnicalc one year ago and last game I did was xLIB xLIB Revolution. Anyway I'm glad to see this game back into developpement and I hope to see it come out soon!
btw did u ever though about using xLIB once the new version is out? You need it installed on calc like Omnicalc but it run so fast that you can even have grayscale tilemaps and battles, not to mention it do practically everything CODEX does but better, and since its a flash app it doesnt require any RAM like codex.

Yeah I remember you. So you aren't making games anymore, or are just not working on any right now? You've made some good stuff btw.
And I have been looking into xlib, although I have no Idea how to use it right now (thats what happens when you don't use you calc for a year). I went through the xlib help file availible now, and it didn't help much.
Any help (especially with xlib, greyscale, etc.) or trade secrets from anyone would be a big help (especially you xlibman)

Actually I kinda lost motivation to make calc stuff. I guess its either because I wasted all my ideas in my previous release (see my ticalc profile
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/authors/78/7864.html
I even got 5 of those thingy featured O_O
) or because of the stuff that happened in the community lately, I still wish I would make a xlib rpg as well tho
as for xLIB help peopel here will be able to help a lot, considering practically half of the members use it

what do you want to know about xlib? How to make sprites, how to use tile mapping, how to do memory stuff (like Flash Gordon, but infinitely faster and more effecient) or such?

Well, since I have barely any knowledge on it at all... pretty much everything. I think I know how to do sprites, and i can make scrolling tile maps (sortof)... but other than that, I'm a total newb

Karmic turn around?
Welcome to the forums. You're probably (no most definitely) a better programmer than me.

lol You guys make it seem like I died or something :rip:
Well, I coded alittle of the map. Greyscale won't work well on my calc (83+), so I don't think I'll do that (for this game, unless I get a new one soon). Maybe i'll put up a screen.... still very ugly looking though.
Anyone up to my help the idiot challenge? >D

Thanks Kalan! Well I decided to test my skills on something easier and smaller first, because I don't want to do everything on a big game wrong and have to recode everything. It'll still be an RPG (sorta), but it won't be Bane. When I actually make progress with Bane i'll update here.
I updated the file on TiCalc. Now the time bar should work correctly and should be slightly smaller. If someone could test how it works on their calc (all I have is 83+) it would be greatly apreciated.
