Chip Preview
« on: August 16, 2009, 06:19:39 pm »
Well, since DJ has already added the forum section for this project, I'll go ahead and post about it.

For all of you who haven't been keeping up on IRC, I've been developing a Chip's Challenge clone in 8-level grayscale.

Here are the latest two screenshots:

THis is friggin awesome. I had an hard time figuring out how to name the project names on front page, though, due to restrictive width. I'm thinking about moving the project list to the center and add screenshots, actually (not animated), to put emphasis on them.

This looks awesome calc84maniac ;D

(I was kind of hoping that you would get bored before you had enough progress to make it official ;), but what's done is done...)

Yeah, I made a modified, cut-down version which could be used in an APP (and is TI-Nspire compatible). It can only zoom in closer than the actual size though, not farther out (that's the downside)

Aaah I see, ok. It also seems to allow you to only zoom one of the axises if you want to, right? (noticing the stretching effect at the end)

Update:
I fixed a bug I found while playing through the level set (that is, when Chip pushes a dirt block which is on top of a wall, he ends up on top of the wall. Not good.)

Also, I added an about screen, the contents of which are:
Code: [Select]
CHIP'S CHALLENGE
FOR TI-83+ v1.00
BY CALC84MANIAC

ORIGINAL CONCEPT
 C. SOMMERVILLE

   THANKS TO:
   TILE WORLD

Edit:
Also, I fixed the Level 88 which was "corrupted" in my level set (an extra wall was added in some versions of the game, which makes the level almost impossible)
