well i guess Xlibman just beat u to it
As for smoothscrolling, i tried to do that to, making a clone of XXR, except with smoothscrolling. It works actually pretty nice speed on 83+, just i didn't do a lot of stuff. Like missed arrows.
@CDI:we could try a smoothscrolling DDR if you want, after all, 2 brains are better than 1

Hmm... I have it going at a steady 2 fps on the 83+ and found a problem... by xoring the arrows... anything less than 12 px at a time is too hard to see the arrows in order to hit them... hmm...

chronometer plus watching how much frame there is in 10 secs. then divide per 10

Or Auto_Int_5 on the 68k calcs. Just have it count twenty rounds of it and mark how many times the screen is redrawn.
