turn based... for now...
it has animation and the hit detection for the battle, but monster(two so far) cant move or attack.... i will work on it tommorow... :Dbiggrin.gif  love having a studyhall w/ no homework.
oh... in the pic... you see the pretty black potion... u step on it and your hp goes up by 10... thats why the hp is like 100/20... i ran the program like 8 times... it's not a bug just wanted to test it.

so heres the progress:like 30%-40%
shop: weapons(x8 or 9), dontation part done(donate money to village to get bonus stuff... like hp and mp upgrades and the best weapon). need to do armour and useable stuff
battle: basics done... need to make specials, ranged, and magic.
stat screen: done
overworld:...still working on this one...it will probally some random battles and a few places to visit... like the arena and the shop... right now the overworld is a text menu...:)smile.gif
enemy sprites: i need help with these... all i got is a poorly drawn jellfish and bear like thing. i need some for human like enemies and animal
classes: i dont know about that yet... but there will be magic and ranged attacks.

Looks very nice. Your main character reminds me of Gateway to Apshai for the C64.

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I like turn-based RPGs more than real time... I need time to think about my moves.

Keep up the good work ;)wink.gif

same here, as long as turns arent as long as in fft. I like real time too though, but more in the style of Tales of Phantasia or Star Ocean :)smile.gif

The pinnicale of Turn Based Battle systems is FF4-6 wich can be set to semi real time and I LOVE it (maybe T14 will do that...)
