You should probably consider giving an option to skip the intro animation; it's probably going to be annoying.

That's true. Whenever there's an intro like that (whether it's text or animated) I always want to be able to press 2nd or something to skip it, so I don't have to watch the whole thing every time I play. (I can't seem to find a key that does that for this game.)

Animations like that might look really nice the first time you see it, but after a while it's just an annoyance. (Just look at UI animations in iOS—even though they take a fraction of a second they start feeling like unnecessary delays pretty fast.)

Looks nice. :) Another idea is to only show the intro when you boot the game up. When you return to the title screen, you can have it already drawn. (save it to a temp pic after the game initializes and delete it upon exit) I think it is a really neat animation though. :)

I actually don't mind if it's an RPG intro, for example, since in the past most RPGs didn't let you skip anything and in some languages it can be hard to add skipping without interrupts, but yeah I guess it would be a good idea for an intro.

This intro isn't too bad in terms of lenght, though. One solution could be to disable grayscale while it's being drawn, so it gets drawn faster, but it's up to you Eiyeron. looks very nice by the way! :)
