Oh, yeah, the goliath is pretty ugly for now, but I haven't made a replacement for it, so I didn't change it. Bigger units in SC will be bigger in my game, so proportions are respected (note: as I have only 10*10 on-calc, it might be not ALL proportionned, but I will try to).

Well, yes. I might do a video of it in some time. But the only next public release will be 1.0 version. Not before. Or maybe beta-testing...
Anyway, I'll definitely let you guys know what happens with it, i've been on a break for several weeks for school projects, but I restarted yesterday.
Release estimated time: Summer, hopefully before Kevin gets back!

And beta testers (Delnar_Ersike) also get to play the game while doing it!

It's still coming (for the moment). I'm using Elfprince's idea to sort things out and if it works, then it will work fast enough to make StarCalc worth continuing.

coming out from the grave:
option #1:
with 400 units+buildings total (aka 200 each), ~2.5 frames/sec
with 200 units+buildings total (aka 100 each), ~4-5 frames/sec
but units will target instantly while idle or attack move, and splash attacks will not create lag.
option #2:
with 400 units+buildings total (aka 200 each), ~4 frames/sec
with 200 units+buildings total (aka 100 each), ~6-8 frames/sec
but units will take 16 frames to search through all the units, and splash attacks (aka mass tanks or reaver) will induce lag like hell
your choice?

I'd rather take normal lag throughout the game than normal speed throughout the game but with periods of huge lag, so option #1 is my choice with 200 units+buildings total (aka 100 each), ~4-5 frames/sec.

How is it progressing? It would rule if this was finished, Starcraft has been the most played game for years on the web and even after 10 years of his release it's still very popular

I really like this project a lot, reminds me of past projects of other people (dysfunction I believe). I hope this turns out ok, I know you can do it!
