hmm advice, dont do something too huge as first programs, I mean try to avoid grayscale for now, master all the TI BASIC tricks and once you are confortable with them you can experiment grayscale and such things

Sounds intersting...sorta reminds me of The Black Crystal.

All of these will require you to get a ROM image from your calculator.  I would recommend http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/373/37341.html as it has worked for me in the past.
