well....if you remember the old forums,me and necro started a project in 83+ BASIC called Zelda:Nightmare's Awakening. An RPG version of a zelda game. with lack of progress.....it kinda died
Now after learning some assembly, and feeling comfortable with it.I might de cide to revive it in ASM,grayscale. i already have a tilemapper system written out
As for the old code....i got no problem with anyone wanting to continue it,if you want the code, just ask
btw,for some reason....i got a hard time coding with BASIC....just seems like each time i pick up the calc,i find somereason to drop it. so i guess i'll try asm
and uggggg...just found a huge problem with my tifreak contest entry......gonna take some time to fix it

Yay!!! That's what we need - a graphical and fast zelda game!
I would not care about 3 or 4 level grayscale - i simply think:
asm + greyscale =
uber hardcore graphics
So be an :alien:
, code through the night, and AmAzE us!!!
hope you'll get it done,

might as well do 4 if you can do 3. It's almost exactly the same, just a few more lines of code to sync the plane switches in ASM.

thanks for the support guys. This won't have that much progress for a while as i'm focusing most of my attention towards tifreakware contest
I'm planning on using RGP,so the tilemap will be 4 lvl gs,but chars can only be 3 lvl,as they have to be masked
edit:btw, this project will probably go under the codename "zelda".I'm not sure about actually making it zelda cuz Spencer's Zelda Pwns! (no way of competing
) so i'm gonna try to find someother tiles to use,and it'll be a FF like rpg i guess

a RPG zelda would still be cool, or maybe some variation of zelda, with different chars, but similar storyline, with ff like battles?
