QUOTE (dinhotheone @ 11 Feb, 2007, 17:22)
FREETIME!!! okay so my question is, why is it that when i click to download the first two files on the site i get some error page saying i need to register a library or something...? is that supposed ta happen? cuz lower on the page it gives me a place to dl it saying i need to do all this stuff. do i need to do all the stuff after i dl it? im not especially sure whats going on with that. all i know is i want to play this game ASAP. ima try to continue setup without doing all the stuff on the error page, if thats bad someone tell me plz.

Edit
...thats a negative, do the weird stuff on the page, trust me its worth it.

EditEdit
i thought i did it right, i got the success msgs and Hamiki or w/e is open to the server, what is this error
http://img406.imageshack.us/my.php?image=errorop6.png
so whats that osx thats causing the error

yes its bad to do that without registering the OCX files.

I haven't seen that particular one be missing before, Id see if you can find it on the same site thats linked to for the other 2 (ascension iirc)/

it gives an error about the registration of that ocx thing. it says "   "\windows\system32\RICHTX32.OCX" is not an executable file and no registration helper is registered for this type of file "
i get this when i do run: regsvr32 \windows\system32\RICHTX32.OCX like it says on the page for windws xp. i put the file into system32... i dont know what the error is.

Edit, i went back and used the installer and it worked. It seems like the installer did more than just register the ocx file, perhaps thats why i was getting the error, because i did the others manually and if i did them with the installer it would do that one too... im not sure.

now i think im getting the same error as delnar

Yes, it finally worked. Interesting, I have had no trouble with Hamachi and Silkroad, even though I had them both on for about 3 hours...

click the textbox below the map, type and hit enter, anyone who is on should be able to see it appear (they may need to be in the same map as you, i haven't confirmed that yet)

naah, bledux said that he hasnt set them up yet, i still have noworking weapon, i just sat outside killing the cuckoos for like an hour with ctl-punch, i'd watch a soccer video, kill the 2 cookus, watch another, kill 2 more... i do -18 to the guards now! 19 more levels to go.

to talk to people in the game just click on the textbox and then type and press enter. it should show up as a txt bubble over your head, theres a list of controlls here :http://rancidmoose.unitedti.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=313 i like holding shift to run

edit, wow i started my post before elf but he finished first, hes fast, but you do need to be on the same map to get msg's

editedit, i just realized what delnar is asking, you cant talk to the npc's, you can talk to signs by hitting enter though

unfortunately its sorta dead, bleduex has sorta disapeered. elf says he thinks its a lazy streak so im hoping itll pick up soon, but the engine used for the demo was changed and the demo that we were talking about is no longer hosted. there's an official forum at...

http://zeldasdream.swivelgames.com/forum/index.php

edit: dead sounds pesimistic, lets says not progressing at this time.
