Don't worry, I'm not the kind that posts pictures everywhere and I'm not going to shove ponies down anyone's throats. Hay, I've gone this long without anyone here knowing. Just letting you know before anyone freaks.
Yeah I was worried O.O

J/k I'm fine and we can actually discuss them on Omni, now that Sir is banned :P

As for an image gallery it would be nice, but I guess privacy might pose a problem indeed. You could make future images so the user can choose an expiration date and private/public option like Pastebin, though.

Might it be possible to use the same accounts from the userbar manager?

Might it be possible to use the same accounts from the userbar manager?

Now THERE'S an interesting idea.
I'll think more on this. I might make it to where you can log into ANY of my sites from the same account. (like F2P MMO companies do or even Google sites for that matter)

It's on my to-try-to-do list now.

You could make future images so the user can choose an expiration date and private/public option like Pastebin, though.

I might add that in regardless of if I go through with Darl181's suggestion or not.

To anyone who's used the image uploader since I got it back online, sorry for any weirdness that may have happened. Turned out that I didn't completely fix that page before putting it back online and all your images were both uploaded to the wrong place and if there was ever a duplicate filename, it gave out a completely wrong URL and made the file mostly inaccessible. Completely my fault for overlooking that.

It's properly fixed and I encourage you to re-upload anything you uploaded in the past few days. But you don't have to if it worked out... just know that these pictures will NOT be included in the backups made with the script I'll be making so if my sites ever get taken down permanently, then they'll be gone forever too.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Minor Update:
I finally made it to where the final URL given doesn't ever have any spaces in it which will allow for easier copy/pasting to a site and won't confuse any browsers.
Also, I fixed a bug which made images not resize properly for the preview. Ironically, it was because I was missing a space that it happened.

Btw do you know if it's a community user who caused RFG to be disabled or is it a random Internet person? Also what rule was broken?

Maybe if you don't have time to moderate it, you could give moderator privileges to another community member who is aware of every rule? There are some trustable people here, you would just need to ensure they monitor the uploader everyday to ensure that no innapropriate content gets uploaded.

And if the issue is that too many images are uploaded, you could just modify the code so that it limits uploads to a certain file size (eg 2 MB per file) and 5 images a day.

Just giving suggestions since it would kinda suck if this was disabled forever since it's a nice image uploader (unlike every other, this one runs fast and work in every browser). Of course we have the forum uploads, but now uploads larger than 1 MB or so usually fail to process and they can't be linked on every forum.

Damn, that sucks. :/ DJ_O is correct though, there are several trustworthy people here who could run RFG. If a file approval system were put in place, it'd make things even easier. *edit* I believe the rule was no pornographic/inappropriate content may be upload. IIRC, that was pretty much the only rule.

Yeah, the rules were these -

Seconding the multiple moderator idea, tho that may be a pain to get set up.
Maybe some sort of trusted account thing?

It's a bit sad, since I too used it a lot. :/
But I can completely understand his point. I myself removed registering on my blog completely from all the hassle spam brought me. (People can still request and account by email though).

The main danger is if being moderator requires full FTP access due to possible lack of a RFG admin panel. Not everyone wants to give such access to anyone. In our case, since AP hasn't been active much since 2009 he barely knows the currently trusted community members.

Hmm.... I wish I could host something similar, but 000webhost doesn't allow file upload sites, and I don't have money to pay for hosting... :-\

Does anyone have the original source for that page?

Then I could probably set it up...

withg is already pretty heavily-laden. i don't think it would be a good idea to have it serving up several thousands of images constantly

Well, we can already attach images to posts (max 4096kb tho), and they can be linked from there.
Some sort of personal directory* or something over # posts might be pretty cool tho.

*would ofc have to be calc-related screenshots and stuff, otherwise storage could fill up fast
